The Power of The Media!!!!

After watching a video on TikTok, it confirmed something I’ve been feeling for a while—we’ve allowed social media to put us in a place of absence.

I’ve noticed that I can be out eating with friends, and instead of enjoying each other, we’re all on our phones. I’ve been on the phone talking to people, and they’re scrolling while I speak. There have even been times when my children are calling my name, and I tune them out because I’m caught up in videos. We’re at work 85% of our shift, not working.  We’re In trainings, meetings, at our children’s games, etc.…. NOT PRESENT!!!! I even seen y’all in the club, church, the grocery lines…...SCROLLING!!!

We’re not present. Not with those we love. Not in the moment. Not with anything.

I’m not knocking social media—this space can absolutely build you—but too many of us are letting it break us.

Take some time to focus on building your legacy—and most importantly, you. These influencers? They’re making their money. What are you building?
